When we hand this plan over, only mobile data is available. Voice calls and SMS stay off until you complete an identity check required by local law. [How the check works] After you arrive in Korea, go to an LG U+ counter at the airport and show your physical passport. Also give them the phone number shown on your order page (and the contract number, if one was issued). The check cannot be completed online — only at an airport counter. Once it is done, you can receive calls and SMS. Outgoing calls and SMS may require a separate prepaid charge with LG U+. We never collect or hold your passport details, and you do not enter them when you buy.
The date rolls over around 01:00 Japan time — activating just before that can burn most of day one
